My Thuan-Can Tho expressway, My Thuan 2 Bridge inaugurated in southern Vietnam

Meanwhile, work on the My Thuan-Can Tho Expressway project started in January 2021, with a total investment of over VND4.8 trillion ($198.3 million). The 23-kilometer-long My Thuan-Can Tho Expressway runs across Vinh Long and Dong Thap Provinces. My Thuan 2 Bridge (L), 350 meters from the existing My Thuan 1 Bridge, connects Tien Giang and Vinh Long Provinces in Vietnam's Mekong Delta region. Besides, Tuyen Quang-Phu Tho Expressway, which links the two northern provinces of Tuyen Quang and Phu Tho, as part of the Western North-South Expressway, was inaugurated on the same day. The opening of My Thuan-Can Tho Expressway and Tuyen Quang-Phu Tho Expressway helped raise the total length of expressways nationwide to 1,900 kilometers, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
