Vietnamese man charged with lending motorcycle to drunk friend who later caused fatal accident

A 20-year-old man in Ha Nam Province, northern Vietnam has been prosecuted for allegedly letting an alcohol-impaired friend borrow his motorcycle that led to a deadly traffic accident in late December last year, local police confirmed on Friday. The vehicle owner Tran Van Dung was also banned from leaving his residence in Binh Luc District. In related news, police in the northern province of Hoa Binh announced on Wednesday that they have pressed the same charges against Bui Van Tuyen, a 23-year-old resident in Hoa Binh.
