Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse, and their entourage left Hanoi on Tuesday to attend the 54th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF-54) in Davos, Switzerland, and visit Hungary and Romania from January 16 to 23. PM Chinh is slated to attend the event from January 16 to 18, at the invitation of WEF founder and president Klaus Schwab. The ambassadors of Switzerland, Hungary, and Romania see off Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife at Noi Bai International Airport before their departure for their Europe trip on January 16, 2024. After attending the WEF-54, PM Chinh will pay official visits to Hungary and Romania at the invitation of his Hungarian and Romanian counterparts Viktor Orbán and Marcel Ciolacu, respectively, from January 18 to 23. During the trips, PM Chinh will have talks with senior leaders of Hungary and Romania, visit localities, universities, research centers, businesses, the Vietnam Friendship Associations in Hungary and Romania, and meet representatives of the Vietnamese communities in the two countries.
