Vietnam’s Khanh Hoa to host international open-water swim race in September

Khanh Hoa Province in south-central Vietnam will organize the Arena Oceanman Cam Ranh Vietnam 2023, an international open water swimming competition, from September 8 to 10 this year. The provincial People’s Committee issued a decision on the organization of the swim race on Thursday, following the proposals made by Peak Event JSC and the provincial Department of Culture and Sports. The provincial administration ordered the organizers of the race to work with other agencies to ensure safety and security during the competition. Over 900 domestic and international swimmers have registered to attend the race, which will feature two-, five-, and 10-kilometer categories, reported the Vietnam News Agency. In early April, the Khanh Hoa Department of Culture and Sports called off the open water swim race scheduled to take place from April 14 to 16 for violations of the Vietnamese sports laws.
