Vietnam-US partnership could expand under certain conditions

Vietnam and the United States are discussing ways to deepen their partnership and potentially reach a higher-level relationship if conditions permit, Pham Thu Hang, spokesperson of the Vietnamese foreign ministry, said at a regular press briefing in Hanoi on Thursday. Bilateral ties between the two countries have flourished in numerous fields over the years, Hang said. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam-U.S. comprehensive partnership. He expressed his hope that the partnership will continue to thrive over the next 10 years. Minister Son underscored that Vietnam sees the United States as a key partner.
