Weightlifter Vinh secures Olympic spot for Việt Nam

WeightliftingHÀ NỘI — Trịnh Văn Vinh has become Việt Nam's sixth representative at the Paris Olympics this summer. Prior to his competition in Thailand, Vinh had hard training plan although his injury had not totally recovered. Vinh used to be Việt Nam's most potential lifter as he secured a number of titles from world championships and world cups. With Vinh's achievement, Việt Nam's weightlifting will have the sixth time in a row competing in the Olympics from 2004-24. Five other Olympians of Việt Nam are cyclist Nguyễn Thị Thật, markswomen Trịnh Thu Vinh and Lê Thị Mộng Tuyền, swimmer Nguyễn Huy Hoàng and boxer Võ Thị Kim Ánh.
