Vinh Tuy Bridge in Hanoi set to open for traffic next week

HCMC – The government of Hanoi City has announced that the phase-two Vinh Tuy Bridge will be inaugurated and opened to traffic from the early morning of August 30, in honor of National Day. With a substantial investment exceeding VND2.5 trillion, the second phase of Vinh Tuy Bridge stretches across 3.5 kilometers in length and spans 19.25 meters in width. This new phase runs parallel to the already existing Vinh Tuy Bridge phase one, which was finalized in 2010. The bridge runs from the intersection of Tran Quang Khai – Nguyen Khoai – Minh Khai streets in Hai Ba Trung District and ends at the intersection of Long Bien – Thach Ban streets in Long Bien District. Following the completion of the second phase, Vinh Tuy Bridge becomes the widest bridge in Hanoi, boasting eight lanes for automobiles.
