HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has embarked on his Europe tour to attend the annual World Economic Forum in Switzerland and pay official visits to Hungary and Romania. Also joining the tour from January 16 to 23 are the ministers of Foreign Affairs, Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Education and Training, Science and Technology, as well as the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam and other high-ranking officials. Following his engagement at the WEF, the PM will proceed to Hungary and Romania, responding to invitations from his counterparts in these two nations. Vietnam has cultivated a longstanding and multi-faceted friendship with Hungary over the past seven decades. Meanwhile, Vietnam has maintained fine relations with Romania since 1950, with bilateral trade between the two countries surpassing US$400 million in 2022, a 15% increase compared to the previous year.
