Vietnam PM meets with Chinese counterpart in Indonesia

HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with Chinese Premier Li Qiang in Jakarta this morning, September 6, on the sidelines of the 43rd ASEAN Summit and related meetings. The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive development of the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership, and agreed to enhance regular contacts between high-level leaders and officials. PM Chinh said that Vietnam considers its relationship with China as a strategic choice and top priority. Chinese Premier Li Qiang welcomed PM Chinh’s attendance at the opening of the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) in Guangxi, and sent warm regards to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and other Vietnamese leaders. At the ASEAN-China High-Level Conference this morning, Li Qiang emphasized the significance of the comprehensive strategic partnership between ASEAN and China.
