Vietnam PM attends China-ASEAN expo and business summit

HCMC – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is leading a Vietnamese delegation to Nanning City, Guangxi, China, to participate in the 20th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and China-ASEAN Business Investment Summit (CABIS). Vietnam has consistently sent government leaders to attend all previous 19 expos and has had the largest number of participating enterprises in each expo among ASEAN countries. In the first eight months of this year, Vietnam’s total trade with China reached US$105.5 billion. Chinese investors got involved in 399 projects in Vietnam, with total pledged capital of US$1.3 million during this period. As of August 20, 2023, China ranked sixth among 143 countries and territories that have invested in Vietnam, with 3,949 active projects totaling US$25.8 billion in pledged capital.
