This program is aimed at marking the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and South Africa. A series of workshops and forums on economic – trade – investment promotion will be organized within the framework of Vietnam Days Abroad 2023. The fest is set to kick off in South Africa to attract tourists and investors there to Vietnam due to the modest number of international arrivals in the latter from the former, said Anh. Before COVID-19 broke out in early 2020, Vietnam welcomed some 5,000 travelers from South Africa each year. Vietnam Days Abroad 2023 will also be held in France and Japan in November and December to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the two countries.
