Vietnam and China started to open Ban Gioc-Detian Waterfalls in the two nations’ border area to tourists on a trial basis from 9:00 am on Friday. The trial operation of the tourist site will last until September 14 next year. At the main entrances to the tourist site in Vietnam stand some checkpoints, while many surveillance cameras were installed there. The pilot opening of Ban Gioc-Detian Waterfalls is aimed at building a peaceful and powerful Vietnam – China borderline and boosting the friendship between the two countries. Ban Gioc Waterfall in Vietnam lies in Dam Thuy Commune in Trung Khanh District under Cao Bang Province, northern Vietnam, while China’s Detian Waterfall is situated in Guangxi Province.
