Vietnam announces winner of American-style jackpot of $3.9mn

Vietnam’s state-run lottery company Vietlott announced on Tuesday the winner of the American-style Mega 6/45 jackpot, which is worth over VND92 billion (US$3.9 million), the highest value ever awarded to an SMS ticket holder. The winner bought the ticket via the MobiFone mobile network’s SMS channel. After paying taxes, the two winners will receive more than VND83 billion ($3.5 million) and VND4.9 billion ($207,693), respectively.
