HCMC – U.S. President Joe Biden has arrived in Hanoi, starting his State visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At exactly 3:40 p.m. this afternnoon, September 10, the aircraft carrying President Joe Biden from the capital city of New Delhi landed at the Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi. Accompanying President Biden are Secretary of State Antony Blinken, U.S. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is scheduled to preside over an welcome ceremony for President Joe Biden at the Presidential Palace. He is the fifth U.S. President to visit Vietnam since the normalization of relations between the two countries in 1995.
