As a public bus was entering a station to pick up passengers on Pham Dinh Ho Street in Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi on Saturday noon, a sizable African mahogany tree uprooted and fell onto the bus’s roof, fortunately causing no injuries. At 1:37 pm, the local authorities were still in the process of cutting the fallen African mahogany tree to move the bus from the location, according to an official. “The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 am today when the bus was in motion, and an African mahogany tree toppled over it, causing significant damage to the roof,” the official said. “The authorities are currently investigating and determining the cause of the incident.”The incident occurred amid the ongoing heavy rainfall, which led to flooding in numerous areas in Hanoi over the past few days.
