Top Vietnamese legislator holds talks with Japan’s upper house chief

Otsuji Hidehisa pays an official visit to Vietnam from Monday to Thursday this week at the invitation of NA Chairman Hue. This is also his first visit to this Southeast Asian nation since he assumed power in August last year. The Japanese upper house chief thanked Chairman Hue for the warm welcome, saying that Japan attaches great importance to its ties with Vietnam. The leader of the Japanese House of Councilors pledged further support to strengthen the Vietnam-Japan ties in all fields. Accordingly, Japan supports Vietnam in developing an independent and self-reliant economy which can effectively engage in global supply chains.
