HCMC – The Ministry of Transport has proposed conducting a comprehensive survey and river water level calculation for the entire affected area on the Phan Thiet-Dau Giay Expressway, including the possibility of raising the road surface if necessary. However, during the most recent flood in the area, water levels in the area surged despite moderate rainfall. Experts have suggested clearing the downstream of the Phan River to facilitate water flow and drainage. The 99-kilometer Phan Thiet-Dau Giay Expressway, a crucial segment of the eastern North-South Expressway, cost over VND12,500 billion. It connects the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet Expressway and the HCMC-Long Thanh-Dau Giay Expressway.
