The Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCMC) and the National University of Singapore (NUS) have discussed a new partnership to provide pathways for students who have completed the first three years of their bachelor’s programs at VNU-HCMC to continue on their educational journey and obtain master’s degrees at NUS. The two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation at the VNU-HCMC campus in Thu Duc City under Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday. During the signing ceremony, Prof. Aaron Thean, deputy president and provost at NUS, suggested that VNU-HCMC students can transfer to NUS for a one-year graduate program after three years of undergraduate study at VNU-HCMC's six member universities. Upon completion, they receive a bachelor’s degree from their Vietnamese university and a master’s from NUS. Those who are academically excellent can receive a scholarship for a four-year NUS doctoral program, completing the entire academic journey in eight years.
