The transport authority in Ho Chi Minh City has endorsed proposals on traffic arrangement along six road sections adjacent to Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in District 1, including one to set up three parking spots for motorcycles. Part of the sidewalks along Nguyen Hue Street would be designated as areas for services and commercial purposes. Besides, all vehicles would be barred from six road sections near the pedestrian street from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. These sections include the Ngo Duc Ke section, enclosed by Dong Khoi and Nguyen Hue Streets, as well as Ho Tung Mau and Nguyen Hue Streets; the Nguyen Thiep and Mac Thi Buoi sections, both delineated by Dong Khoi and Nguyen Hue Streets; and the Hai Trieu, Huynh Thuc Khang, and Ton That Thiep sections, all bordered by Ho Tung Mau and Nguyen Hue Streets. The municipal Department of Transport will complete a draft plan on traffic arrangement along these road sections and issue an official version this month.
