Mob arrested for pickpocketing on Ho Chi Minh City buses

Police in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City announced on Thursday that they had busted a group of middle-aged and senior citizens for pickpocketing bus passengers. The detainees include Nguyen Thi Man, 64, Le Ngoc Huong, 65, Phu Van Tuan, 55, Nguyen Tan Dung, 44, Huynh Minh Thong, 42, and Vu Duc Sau, 50. The gang members hail from Thu Duc City under Ho Chi Minh City, southern Soc Trang Province, Hanoi, and north-central Thanh Hoa Province. Man, Huong, and Tuan pickpocketed passengers on the buses while Dung, Minh, and Sau followed the vehicles on motorbikes and acted as getaway drivers. On January 15 alone, they stole from passengers on four city buses.
