HCMC – Vietnam’s aquatic product output from January to August reached 5.9 million tons, up 1.9% year-on-year, according to the Vietnam Directorate of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Fish products accounted for 4.2 million tons, growing 1.7% compared to the same period last year. Similarly, the shrimp industry expanded by 3.6% year-on-year to a total of over 812,000 tons. The overall volume of other aquatic products increased by 1.5% to 864,500 tons. To address these issues, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has directed provinces to establish expansive industrial agricultural zones.
