Inland waterway port in downtown Ho Chi Minh City resumes operation

The Ho Chi Minh City administration has given the go-ahead for the resumption of operations at the inland waterway port at the second quay of the Bach Dang Wharf in District 1. The inland waterway port will be used when the city has yet to deploy a detailed plan for the wharf. The second quay at the Bach Dang Wharf is 80 meters long and nine meters wide. The resumption of the quay’s operation will ensure the continuous provision of express boat services between Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, pending the arrangement of a new waterway port. In April this year, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport extended the operation of express boat services at the inland waterway port of the Bach Dang Wharf until December 30 this year.
