Ho Chi Minh City plans shift to e-bus service in Can Gio

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has put forward a plan to switch to electric buses in the city’s outlying district of Can Gio to cut carbon dioxide emissions. After seeing growth prospects of electric vehicles, the agencies will propose a road map to develop such electric vehicles, alongside suitable mechanisms and effective electrification steps. From now until 2025, city authorities will put in place a pilot program for a shift to electric vehicles in some districts such as Can Gio.
