Ho Chi Minh City eyes park-adjacent areas to ease shortfall of parking lots

Authorities will review and make a list of parking service providers surrounding parks in Ho Chi Minh City as a temporary solution to coping with a shortage of parking space. The department had reported the parking lot shortfall to the municipal administration, proposing that the latter allow local authorities to survey the demand for parking services among park-goers to adopt appropriate solutions. For a long-term solution, the city’s Department of Planning and Architecture was tasked with mapping out a zoning plan for developing parking spaces at public parks. Some park-goers who parked their vehicles by the roadside explained that the parks have no parking lots. Meanwhile, others said the parking space in the park was full at the time or private parking lots were far away from the park.
