HCMC to pilot using golf carts for passenger transport in Q1

HCMC – HCMC will launch a pilot program in the first quarter of this year, using 200 electric golf carts for passenger transport in some districts. The trial phase, covering districts 1, 4, 5, and 6, will run until the end of next year. A designated parking area for electric golf carts will be established at September 23 Park, with daily operational hours from 6 a.m. to midnight. These four-wheel vehicles capable of accommodating five to 14 passengers will be operated by individuals with a B2-level driver’s license. The investor, Saigon Public Transport Co., Ltd., has proposed ticket prices ranging from VND10,000 to VND50,000 per passenger, with vehicle rentals costing between VND70,000 and VND250,000 per trip.
