Fireworks, hot-air balloons to brighten Ho Chi Minh City sky for National Day

Ho Chi Minh City is planning fireworks displays and hot-air balloon shows in celebration of the Vietnamese National Day on September 2. The municipal High Command sent its plan for the fireworks shows to the municipal People’s Committee for approval, Lam Ngo Hoang Anh, office chief at the municipal Department of Culture and Sports told a press briefing on Thursday. The department also suggested that the southern metropolis organize hot-air balloon shows from September 2 and 3 on Nguyen Thien Thanh Street in Thu Duc City under Ho Chi Minh City. In honor of National Day, the city will also hold a photo exhibition and offer incense and flowers in memory of late President Ho Chi Minh and President Ton Duc Thang.
