Danang welcomes 3.5 million tourists in H1

HCMC – Over 3.5 million domestic and international tourists came to the central coastal city of Danang between January and June, soaring by 116.6% over the same period last year. Notably, the city’s hospitality industry served 706,000 tourists in June alone, when the Danang International Fireworks Festival took place. On certain days, Danang International Airport handled up to 150 flights per day, a 1.5-fold rise over the daily average. After a three-year hiatus due to Covid-19, the city welcomed 3.7 million visitors in 2022, a 3.1-fold increase over 2021. As of 2020, Danang had over 940 tourist accommodations of all types with 40,000 guest rooms.
