60cm python slithers onto woman's bed in wee hours in Ho Chi Minh City

A woman in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City on Tuesday handed over a 0.5-kilogram, 60-centimeter python, which she found on her bed in the early hours on Sunday last week, to local forest protection officers. The municipal Forest Protection Department received the python from Ton Nu Thi Xi, residing in Tan Thoi Hiep Ward, District 12. A forest protection officer said the reptile is scientifically known as Python bivittatus, which is on the list of rare and endangered species. Ton Nu Thi Xi (L), residing in Tan Thoi Hiep Ward, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City, hands over a python (in the mesh bag) to a local forest protection officer. She handed over the snake to the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department as she wanted it to be released back to nature, even though a person had asked for the reptile.
