5 hurt in Hanoi collision involving apparently drunk driver

The accident happened at about 2:00 pm when the car, whose driver’s identity remains unknown, was running from Thuy Khe Street to Lac Long Quan Street. The collision caused the motorbike and the five people to land on the roof of the car before falling to the ground. Photo: Danh Trong / Tuoi TreAfter causing the crash, the car driver escaped from the scene but Tay Ho police officers and local residents managed to stop him. The male driver held his ground inside the car for around 30 minutes. Police officers later took him to their station, while the five victims were rushed to a nearby hospital.
