Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to directly contribute to the growth in revenue from our existing customer base and the acquisition of new customers through lead generation, sales and sales promotion activities. This role is also expected to support building of key relationships and proactively support and follow up with the resolution of resolve issues, add value and ensure delivery on expectations.

Main opportunities/challenges for this role:

  • Understanding and foreseeing country conditions to spot and act on opportunities.
  • Providing timely feedback on external changes that impact on business strategy.
  • Achieving sales/ account targets and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Main accountabilities:

    Product management support: customer insight to inform product development and promotional campaigns.

  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys designed locally and by region on behalf of IELTS, Schools and PRFX Product Managers in Vietnam.
  • Collect other competitor and business intelligence from own and others networks and contacts, as well as desk research and mystery shopping exercises.
  • Monitor Vietnam Exams reputation on social media.
  • Present findings of above and recommendations on service design improvements and promotional messaging to Business Development Managers in regular meetings.
  • Collate and report on monthly Exams scorecard returns within the agreed deadlines and file collated records for audits purposes.
  • Product management support: branding and promotion.

  • Evaluate and forecast needs for promotional materials and work with Business Development and Marketing Teams to produce briefs and production schedules.
  • Conduct inspection visits for exams locations to ensure clear customer journeys, contingency plans and maintain brand consistency.
  • Generate social media / website content and updates for the relevant Exams Products, liaising with Operations Managers, Customer services Lead to solve serious complaints.
  • Contribute to the ESBU marketing team's customer database, including ensuring all Exams customer data is cleansed and ready for input/migration.
  • Business development

  • Produce UK Qualifications market penetration report for all schools and set conversion targets.
  • Set and meet portfolio growth targets.
  • Present UK Qualifications to schools' parents and candidates
  • Follow up leads generated through campaigns and events for schools' exams and other B2B sales products and arrange meetings for managers.
  • Attend sales meetings and ensure all pipeline sales and prospects are documented and followed up to agreed schedule.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and contracts.
  • Network effectively at events and online Partner relationship management
  • Act as the first point of contact for all partnerships under discussion.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and Memorandum of Understandings (MOU).
  • Event Management

  • Identify potential events organised by third parties according to Business Development Manager's brief and produce calendar.
  • Investigate and cost different options for participation in third party events.
  • Plan Exams events calendar where external events of not meet specific needs (e.g. promotion of School Exams)
  • Plan and implement all event participation to agreed standards, including physical, print, digital and staff resources.
  • Ensure ESBU Marketing Team are briefed on all requirements and timelines for promotion of Exams events.
  • Role specific knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in fields of business development/marketing/public relations/Customer services and events management.
  • Experience of working with children (desirable).
  • Experience of safe planning, organisation and delivery of activities for children (desirable).
  • Knowledge of UK Qualifications and Assessment systems (desirable).
  • Role Specific Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree in any subject or qualification in a relevant field.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Vietnamese
